Duran Duran live in Seoul on Mar. 12, 2012

Written for Duran's Duranasty
It was 1988 when I first/last saw them in Seoul. I don't remember much about that gig except I thought I was going to die because I remember I was crushed and pulled, my camera(back then it wasn't a digital camera) was broken. It was such a traumatic experience, so much so I stopped going to any live shows after that. It was only recent(2009) that I started going to gigs.
I already forgot so many details about the show but will try to write as much as I can possible :)
I didn't get a standing ticket because that always doesn't work for someone like me(short!) unless you get super early numbers. I noticed in some countries, the ticket number doesn't mean anything so you have to go to the venue as early as you can to get a spot in the front row. In Korea, that's not how it is with most of the shows. If you got an early number, you can go in before other people who got later numbers.
I think the seat I had for the DD show last night was probably the most ideal seat I got so far!
No one was blocking my sight, I was sitting in the front row in the seating area.
Here's a shot from my seat!
As you all already know from the setlist in Seoul, it was a great mix of old and new songs. Especially I am extremely(!!!!) happy that they played 'Is there something I should know'!!
When they started to play 'Wild Boys', I noticed Nick was playing the melody of 'Relax' by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and thought 'what are you doing, Nick??!!' but it was a great remix of the songs! :D
The interaction with the audience was amazing to watch, Simon got a kiss on his cheek from a female Korean fan as she was introducing Simon! :D
I'm a die hard JT fan. Whenever he smiled, I experienced memory loss, that's part of the reason why I can't remember much about the gig :P
Many fans(probably from a DD fanclub) in the standing area were holding up that capital 'D' sign, some were wearing luminous headbands or holding luminous sticks. And when the band started to play 'Come Undone'(I think), some people in the audience began to fly paper planes/paper dolls(?) in the air, some of which landed on stage and Simon and John picked them up and flew them back to the audience :)
I witnessed the same scene when Jonsi&Co. were here in Seoul last year, it was such a lovely fan effort :)
Happy to see them again in over 20 years, I hope to see them again in the next tour :)
Photos I took after the show. Outside the venue.
I took just one video(very blurry one). A staff stopped me so I didn't even bother to take any more afterwards :(

Hope other Duranies who were at the Seoul show can provide better reviews! :)
