이 곡은 지배적 위치의 가학적 여성과 sadomasochism적 관계를 내용으로 함.
가사 중 "ashtray girl"은 자신의 파트너를 "감정적 재떨이"로 삼는 여성을 의미. 
"cigarette burns on my chest"라는 가사는 제임스 딘의 fetish에서 따왔음. 
이 곡의 작사를 맡았던 몰코가 한 공연에서 이 곡을 부르기 전 했던 말:
"예전에 누군가한테 제임스 딘 얘기를 들은 적이 있다. 아직 모르는 사람들을 위해 말하지만 제임스 딘은 게이였다. 

안타까워하는 사람들이 있겠으나 사실이다. 그는 자신의 가슴팍에 담뱃불을 지져 끄는 걸 즐기는 fetish를 갖고 있었다. 

그 얘기를 들은 이후 줄곧 인상에 남았고 이 곡은 그 얘기에서 영감을 얻어 만들었다."
